Voice AI pricing

Voice AI agent pricing in India: real numbers for 2026

Build vs. buy, pilot vs. production, per-minute economics, telephony cost. Everything we tell our own clients.

Pilot: ₹4-12 lakh

Single workflow, 2-3 languages, telephony integrated.

Per-minute: ₹3-12

Production all-in cost (model + telephony + infra) per minute of conversation.

ROI requires a baseline

Model payback from current call volume, handling cost, completion rate, and downstream conversion.

What you actually pay for

A voice AI deployment has four cost components. Most agencies hide three of them — we lay them out.

  • One-time engineering: pilot deployment, integration, prompt engineering — ₹4-12 lakh
  • Per-minute model + STT + TTS cost: ₹2-8/min depending on language and provider
  • Telephony / SIP minutes: ₹0.30-1/min via Plivo, Exotel, Twilio, or similar
  • Infrastructure + monitoring: ₹15-50k/month at production scale

Where the cost variation comes from

Three things drive variation:

  • Number of languages — each additional regional language adds ~₹50k-1 lakh in tuning + testing
  • Integration depth — basic CRM webhook is cheap, deep ERP/LIMS integration adds 30-50% to pilot cost
  • Availability requirements — targets, redundancy, monitoring, exclusions, and support coverage affect cost

Cost vs. human reminder desk

For a high-volume reminder operation, compare fully loaded staff cost, successful-contact rate, telephony minutes, model usage, exception handling, and supervision. We calculate this from the buyer's real baseline rather than publishing a universal saving.

Frequently asked questions

Is per-minute pricing standard?
Yes. Voice AI is a usage-based business — you pay only for the minutes you use. Volume discounts apply at 50k+ minutes/month.
What about SaaS pricing models?
Some vendors charge a flat monthly SaaS fee. We avoid this because it's almost always worse for clients with predictable volume.
How do regional languages affect cost?
Hindi and English are baseline. Each additional regional language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc.) adds modest engineering cost upfront and identical per-minute cost in production.
What's the lowest-risk way to pilot?
Pick one workflow, one or two languages, a representative test set, and explicit acceptance thresholds. Pricing is fixed only after the telephony and integration scope is known.
